A Moment’s Pause, Jan Prentice
Jan Prentice’s, “A Moment’s Pause” will be in the Annual International Marine Art Exhibition at the Mystic Seaport Museum. This exhibit is a comprehensive juried show that showcases the most recent works of more than 100 award-winning marine artists from around the world. Represented in this show are exceptional paintings, drawings, sculpture and scrimshaw depicting tall ships, sailing yachts, working craft, commercial vessels, warships, along with scenes of the shoreline, beaches, harbors and the wildlife that inhabit our seafaring world. This exhibition is a commemoration of our maritime heritage with intricately researched historical scenes and contemporary images that document the relationship of man to the sea that still survives today. The show runs until December 31, 2019.
