Description: A solid foundation in drawing is essential for anyone who would like to excel in painting. In this class, students will learn how to draw from life using the classical realism methods Melissa learned while living in Italy. Each student will work at his/her own pace and will move onto more complicated concepts when the basics are mastered. Students will learn how to draw simple geometric shapes in pencil before completing a cast drawing and still life compositions in pencil and charcoal. This course is a good foundation for anyone who would like to tackle the complexities of drawing the figure.
