Calendar 2026

2026 is a special year as the MAS plein air painters will celebrate the Madison Bicentennial by allotting time the first 13 weeks of our 22 days on the schedule to paint the 13 historic districts of the town.  Each week for the first 13 weeks we will meet in a different area of the town, often times along the coast, or on nature trails that are located in the various districts.  These 13 weeks will culminate with a plein air exhibition at the Madison Art Cinema from August – October 2026 depicting the 13 districts captured by the MAS plein air artists.  There will be an opening reception  on Sept. 10th featuring our  plein air creations, with the public invited to attend.  

 The MAS plein air painters gather together each Wednesday morning to paint en plein air from mid-May to mid-October. We welcome all MAS members to join us. If you’re not a member you are welcome to join us for one or two paint outs as our guest and if you would like to continue to paint with the Plein air painting group we ask that you join the Madison Art Society as a member.

 Restroom Access: Please be advised that most locations on the schedule have public restrooms or portable toilets however, some may not be open.

 Paint outs take place in the morning, from 9am-12pm. Please check the schedule.
