September 13, 2023 – Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme

The “Flo Gris” is the home of the early American impressionists.  If you have never been in the original house, it’s a must visit.  The historic house, the gardens, the lawn to the river and views provide endless inspiration—an idyllic setting.

Directions: Traveling on I-95 North from New Haven. Come over Connecticut River bridge. Stay in the RIGHT lane. Take EXIT 70; at the bottom of the exit ramp, turn LEFT at light onto Route 156. Turn RIGHT at second traffic light onto Halls Road. Take Halls Road to the end. Take a LEFT at the light onto Lyme Street. The Museum is the second building on the LEFT. Entrance is right past the Lyme Art Association.

Please park at the furthest parking to the utmost left as you drive in. You can drop off your painting kits if you don’t want to carry them. Arrive as early as you want but the main building with the bathrooms opens at 10.
