The Madison Art Society’s 44th Annual Juried Show was a huge success! The exhibition took place at the Mill Gallery in Guilford. The show was open to all Connecticut artists. There were 226 entries and 112 accepted works of art. Congratulations to all the winning entries and those who were judged worthy of an award by the juror Stephanie Birdsall.
A big thank you to all the wonderful volunteers. MAS is truly fortunate to have such hard working, enthusiastic artists who not only contribute their time and energy to making this exhibit a success, but they are extremely talented artists. Special thanks to Jim Durkin and Diana Roberts-Paschall, co-chairs of the exhibit; Louise Stanton and Sally Spiegelhalter, co-chairs of receiving; Patricia Seekamp and Elena Gerard, co-chairs of jurying; Bill Colrus, hanging committee chair and Hilary Griffin for a lovely reception.
Mark your calendar for our Annual Meeting on Monday, September 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.. The meeting and social gathering will be at the Madison Golf Club on the Boston Post Road in Madison Guests are welcome too. Please bring an appetizer or dessert to share with others. We will have a brief business meeting to update you on coming events and introduce the nominees for the Board of Directors. Come and enjoy the company of fellow artists and guest. See you on the 9th!
