MAS November Newsletter 2023

from the  Co-Presidents

For roughly 50 years, the Madison Art Society has provided a supportive and collaborative community for artists along the shoreline and stretching into far corners of Connecticut, and beyond.  The MAS board of directors has been hard at work to bring our member artists and the broader community many art opportunities.  These opportunities include exhibits to display their art, lively art receptions, demos, lectures, and sessions painting both plein air in the warm months, and painting still-life indoors during the winter months.

Some of our recent events have been our very successful 48th Annual Juried Show and opening reception in August, our MAS Annual Meeting & Mixer in September, our participation with a MAS tent as a vendor at the Madison Beach Hotel Fall Harvest Festival, where several original art paintings sold.  In addition, MAS participated was on the Guilford Green in collaboration with the GreenStage Festival & plein air event, again with some sales.   Take a look at our upcoming events that the fall winds have blown in!
